I have kind of lived in this fantasy world for the past couple of days due to my Millions of Dollars blog and a conversation I had with my roommates last night. After watching High Fidelity this weekend I think that we are kind of on a "top 5" kick right now, anyhoo we conversed about our top 5 dream home locations. I can only remember a few that we talked about, but here was the list.
Bert:
1. Jackson Hole, WY
2. North Shore, HI
3. NYC...I believe Upper West Side
4. Monterey Bay, CA
5. Auburn, AL
Greg:
1. Sun Valley, ID
2. NYC...SOHO possibly
3. Beach House, Gulf Coast, FL
4. San Francisco, CA
5. I believe Chicago
Me:
1. Florida Keys
2. Sun Valley, ID
3. Chicago...Wrigleyville to be specific
4. Napa Valley, CA
5. Clarksdale, MS...hunting lodge.
I''m sure these will change in the near future, as mine always do.
Kind of cool to see what eveyone's taste are in fantasy world. What's your top five? I am going to get off this fantasy kick after I win the lotto tonight.

I liked mine so much i had to say it three times........yeah........sorry.
fiser, et al, in true High Fidelity manner, I'm going to start with 5 and work up to number 1:
5. any little random villa in the middle of nowhere Tuscany - personal vineyard optional - however, it is required to be on or near a large lake. sailboat and boat house included.
4. Presidents Mansion, Auburn, AL with a pool, high dive, and slip 'n' slide added once I move in. Yes, Matt Owen, you can be my lawyer and/or poolboy.
3. Mansion overlooking Pebble Beach (if they don't allow this, too bad, its my daydream and no one can mess it up). Counting Crows will live in the back house -similar to the "holiday inn" behind the Carter residence in Mt. Brook. They will play for me whenever I want, and my alarm clock will be a live performance of "Anna Begins."
2. Mountain Brook...as long as Chris Whaley lives across the street. Mr. and Mr. Alex Woodham will live next to him. To my right will be Senator Oconnor and Maggie. Daily routine will consist of hitting golf balls at each other from our front yard and spray painting grafiti on each other's house and car. Ok, just kidding, this was a poor poor poor choice. Forgive me for a not funny comment. My real number 2 is a house next to fiser in the florida Keys.
1. a large cabin in Montana near the church of the Reverend Maclean. The good Reverend will also personally guide me fly-fishing along the banks of the Big Blackfoot River (above the mouth of Belmont Creek)
I love it when people besides Mike Phillips & I make High Fidelity references . . .
I think I'd be happy living anywhere but the Northeast and the bread bowl states . . .
Hmmm... because Im not real big on changing locations these are the places that I would want to have my "summer home"
1. Mountain Brook!! Thats for you Lewis!
2. Wellon Lee Bridgers Lake house!
3. A Villa in Italy somewhere
4. Bahamas!
5. Hollywood, California... I guarantee it is not as cold there as it is here... always sunny!!
Ahhh... it must be nice! Maybe when Lewis is President of Auburn University he can pay for a house for me in one of these places.
1) somewhere warm
2) somewhere warm
3) somewhere warm
4) somewhere warm
5) i guess i should move to miami!
Anna
5. Anywhere, Alaska
4. Monterrey, California
3. Nashville, Tennessee
2. Rosedale, MS (Gray, you know why)
1. Anywhere but here, USA
- DW (not Darryl Waltrip)
High Fidelity is the greatest movie around. Here is my list, even though it appears that this post is a little old, and I can't be overly specific because I don't have a brain today:
1. Spetses, Greece.
2. Rome, Italy
3. NYC
4. Colorado
5. Lake Rabun
