Appropriate Time to Discuss Lunch

Another office story...I know I will get off of this kick soon, or maybe not. These are the stories that keep me pecking away on the keyboard. Right now it is 8:02 AM EST. 30 min. ago our secretary here at my company walked in. Just think about the lady on Office Space that says, "Corporate Accounts Payable, this is Nina speaking...Just a moment!" and you have our secretary, or administrative assistant, to be politically correct. So, she walks straight to mine and Grace's cube, and ask what is for lunch. Remember now, that it is 7:32AM EST, for you CST people that is 6:32 AM. Hot wings is what was brought up, with french fries. I shook my head and had to excuse myself b/c I felt as if I was going to get sick. So, I open this up for discussion. What time is it appropriate to start discussing what is for lunch at the office, or class (for you further educating people)? I find it slightly unappetizing to talk about hot wings at 7:32AM does anyone else feel this way?

That is disgusting. But more importantly, "What would you say you do here" to quote another portion of office space. Is her job that unimportant, that she is thinking about lunch at 7:30 in the morning? I mean don't get me wrong, I dont think she should slave away all 8 hours everyday but she just got there. Does she serve a single vital purpose besides drawing a paycheck and consuming large amounts of hot wings with sides of fries. I have a mental image that is not very flattering of this woman. Well I am not sure what the appropriate time to start thinking lunch is, but I am positive that she violated whatever time it is. PS~I look forward to the fishing trip this weekend ~ mark
