Questionable Cake, but Saved by Grace

I walked into work today, and went to go get me a nasty cup of colored water, for the caffeine that is. It is not exactly coffee because it is too weak. I prefer the kind of coffee that puts hair on your chest. Anyhoo, I turn around and look on the table and there is cake there. Not feeling like eating the cake at the moment, I go back to my desk. I spend about 20 min. at my desk, and my stomach begins to growl. So, I look at Grace, my best friend at work that is pushing 70 years old, and ask her if she wants a piece of cake. Grace starts to shake her head and has this very distraught look on her face. She motions for me to come over, and I do. Thank goodness that she did motion for me to come over. She informed me that the person who made the cake keeps her kitchen windows open, and her horse always sticks his head in the kitchen and does that little sneezing thing in the kitchen. Nasty, but true. So, now I lean back in my chair, survey my office, and see that 3/4 of the people here are eating horse snot cake. It brings a little smile to my face. I sure hope it is good. I guess the moral of this story is...Get a best friend at the office, and make sure he/she is a seasoned veteran there. I can now sincerely say, "I love you Grace and thank you for all the lessons I have learned from you"
