Secrets of a Good Life...

Riding to work today I decided to listen to a little country music on "The Eagle" 106.7. The first song I heard was that Faith Hill song Secret of a Life. I got to thinking about what some of the small secrets are to a good life for me. A few that I thought of were...a morning cup of coffee, Orange "Toast Chee" peanut butter crackers, a nice relaxing drive on the forklift through the warehouse, the snooze bar on my alarm, hotmail.com, a cup of hot tea, my halloween boxers that I have had for an unspecified amount of time, and Buck's pizza day on Fridays. Just a few of the things that keep me going these days. What are your secrets to a good life?

I love toast chee crackers. I eat a pack almost every day. I love unnaturally colored food.

I just had to tell you that 3 times! Why did it do that - your blog is having technical difficulties.

A few of mine would include live music, a good book, an even better movie, the OC, Springtime, Level 5 Naps(Under the covers in the PJs), my mom's cheese soup, playing guitar, road trips, & pretty ladies.

Waking up at 5:30 in the morning so that i can spend a few hours in 35 degree water, without even seeing a duck because "I really just enjoy being out there." If you mix this with a healthy amount of single malt scotch, you're on your way to a damn good life. Oh, and shoes are better when they don't match.

Who would have thought Faith Hill could have spurned such an in depth conversation? Anways, the list would be incomplete without notice of: Dumas Drive, post-touchdown gulps of boubon/coke, BBQ house breakfast, Cafe DuMon, Louis Armstrong's crackle, the woods at night, a good bird-dog, the whistle of a fly-line, a makeshift slip-n-slide, little league baseball (with uniformed dog as mascot), "All the King's Men," a pastor's benediction, an old pair of boots, finding a mis-placed CD, any mom's cookies, Mrs. Agnew's chili, a full cast net, and the best feeling--going to bed with the smell and stick of dried salt water. Anyway, there's my two cents-

Betsy posting repeat comments, Hawaii nude beaches, bachelorette parties out on the town. But probably the best secret in life is a good T'd 5.

DTO,you are so frat with your secrets to a good life. nice touch with an old pair of boots. Betsy, a triple dose of Keb Mo, nothing like it. Charlsie, those crackers...delicious. I don't think i could make it through the day without them. kemph.com a daily visit from me everyday. Marcus, Level 5 naps...oh i miss them so bad, take one for me. DW, some might call us crazy for saying we enjoy below freezing weather in the outdoors, that is why it is a secret to a good life. Alex, man kisses...not sure about that, but Lucero after Langston's wedding...priceless. Tmy5 nude beaches in Hawaii...we'll see if this is a secret to a good life come April 20th.

Gray, the point of the post was not the freezing weather, but rather the single malt scotch. Glen Livet anyone?
